The Master’s Degree Program in Biomedical Sciences (PPGCBM) began its activities in May 2014, at the Campus Ministro Reis Velloso, in the city of Parnaíba, affiliated with area 15 of Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) called Medicine I. General objective: to develop and transfer technology, informational and epidemiological subsidies in health to the productive sectors and government health institutions. The PPGCBM aims to train human resources with a critical, generalist, and pluralistic spirit, able to fundamentally develop and apply research projects in basic and applied areas of health, and thus significantly contribute to the development of national science and technology. In short, alumni of the PPGCBM should have the ability to work in the fields of research and teaching and contribute to the generation and transmission of knowledge in health, integrating the Federal University of the Parnaíba River Delta (UFDPar) with the development of society of the state of Piauí.
